Scotts Valley Performing Arts 2012 Season
Dear Theater Community,
Unfortunately the departure of Olivet University, and the uncertain future for the former Bethany University property has left Scotts Valley Performing Arts without a theater to run the fall production of ANNIE. SVPAA has conducted a county-wide search for a new venue with no success, and we are therefore forced to cancel the show. Although this development is disappointing, our other programs are alive and well.
Our Youth Shakespeare Program is in full swing with student actors who will present Romeo and Juliet in July. The Assemblies of God is honoring the contract we signed with Olivet to allow the two shows to be performed at the Williams Theater.
We appreciate all the community theatre lovers both on and off stage who have supported Scotts Valley Performing Arts over the years. If you love theatre, we would love to have you involved in helping us make quality community theatre happen in the Scotts Valley / Santa Cruz area. There is lots to do.
